Our Leadership

The PetFix Northeast Ohio Board of Directors is an all-volunteer group of dedicated and talented individuals who work tirelessly behind-the-scenes. They are responsible for the overall policy and direction of the organization.

Jill Dugovics, Esq.

Jill recently retired as Senior Vice President and Senior Fiduciary Advisor with Hawthorn PNC Family Wealth where she managed fiduciary matters for multi-generational families and entrepreneurs. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Corrections from Kent State University and her Juris Doctor from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Jill serves on the Ministerial Leadership Council for Faith United Church of Christ.

Katy Franz, Esq.

Katy serves as Regulatory & Sustainability Counsel at Eaton Corporation, where her practice includes counseling on environmental and safety compliance, sustainability, remediation, environmental litigation, and product stewardship. Katy is a Cleveland native and a graduate of John Carroll University (B.A.) and William and Mary Law School (J.D.). She also serves on the Board of Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers. Katy is a nature enthusiast and the proud pet-parent of a rescue dog, CJ.

Rachel A. Margulis, CPA/PFS

Rachel is a Certified Public Accountant with over 15 years of experience in the wealth management industry. She is currently an Advisor at Fairport Wealth, supporting multiple client teams with a strong focus on income tax planning and compliance. Before joining Fairport in 2008, Rachel worked at MAI Wealth Advisors as a Tax Associate. She earned a B.B.A. with a concentration in accounting from Cleveland State University and she was certified as a Personal Financial Specialist in 2015. Rachel is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys rowing, kayaking, and spending time outdoors. She lives on the east side with her husband Matt and their five cats.

Nicole Pontius

Nicole is a marketing communications professional. She is currently with PNC Bank, where she specializes in internal communications. Nicole earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of Toledo in 2003 and a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from Kent State University in 2013. A life-long animal lover, Nicole is dedicated to animal-welfare causes. She and her husband have two children and one rescue cat named Parker.

Jennifer S. Roach, Esq.

Jen earned a degree in Economics from Duke University and her J.D. from Northwestern University in 2001. She is a partner in the Competition, Antitrust & White-Collar Crime and Business Litigation practice groups and Co-Chair of the Ethics Committee at Thompson Hine LLP. She regularly litigates and counsels clients on antitrust, product distribution and unfair competition matters.  Jen and her husband, Tim, have three rescue dogs – two Newfoundlands and a Great Pyrenees.

Persis Sosiak

Persis is the Manager for Infection Prevention (IP) at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital. In this role she has oversight for the operations of the IP Department including surveillance of healthcare-acquired infections, communicable disease surveillance, issues relating to COVID-19, construction projects and education. Persis has worked at Cleveland Clinic for 12 years in a variety of roles including Senior Director, Department of Public Health and Research and as a registered nurse. From 2016 – 2021, Persis was Commissioner for the Division of Health at the Cleveland Department of Public Health. Persis and her husband live in Lakewood and are the proud parents of a rescue dog, Chloe.
