Special Announcement: Beginning March 1, all community cats (stray, outdoor, feral cats) coming to PetFix without an appointment, must arrive in a humane trap. Cats that are socialized with humans, can be picked up and put into a pet carrier and that can reliably be brought to PetFix on a specific date, must have an appointment. We will do our very best to get friendly "at risk" cats an appointment as soon as possible. See details here.

Christie Lucco, Executive Director
Christie has been working to achieve Pet Fix's mission since 2008 as a volunteer, board member and past president of the board of directors. She has extensive experience with non-profit management, serving on various non-profit boards. Before taking the helm at PetFix as executive director in 2016, Christie spent 17 years at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame where she provided strategic vision and oversight for all curatorial, collections, and exhibition activities and resources. Christie lives in Cleveland Heights with her partner, Michael and their two dogs, Stella and Pip.

Lorna Johnston, Medical Director, DVM
Dr. Johnston came to PetFix in 2016. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Johnston is driven to help keep happy animals in good homes and reduce the number of unwanted pets. She believes that high-quality spay and neuter is an essential part of this. Dr. Johnston works full time at PetFix. In her spare time, she likes clicker training animals (particularly dogs), drawing, and singing.

Lynn Schaefer, DVM
Dr. Schaefer joined the PetFix team in 2018. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Schaefer works at PetFix full-time. Her love of surgery and rescue led her to PetFix after 2 years in private practice. She lives with her husband, son, Boston terrier, and Labrador retriever. In her free time, she runs a non-profit wildlife rescue (Born to Be Wild) caring for orphaned squirrels, cottontails, opossums, mice, and bats.

Susan Mickovic,
Medical Team Coordinator
Susan has worked as a veterinary assistant for PetFix since 2006. Susan grew up riding and showing horses and continues to enjoy caring for her Arabian gelding, Albert, and several other horses. She enjoys spending time with her friend Zusa, a collie-mix and her many (fixed) barn cats.

Kevin Roxbury, Senior RVT
Kevin graduated in 2005 from Cuyahoga Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. He has been with PetFix since the organization started! Kevin finds his work with PetFix quite fulfilling and is very glad to have been serving both the human and animal communities in such a manner for so long. Kevin also worked for many years at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo as a part-time Registered Veterinary Technician. He grew up in Stow and currently resides in Parma with his two cats, Tandy and Millicent, and a small colony of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. He enjoys film, theater, hiking, roller coasters, and is currently dabbling in woodworking.

Paige Segina,
Anesthesia Manager
Paige is a 2017 graduate of Stautzenburger College. Paige started as a volunteer for PetFix in 2015 and joined our staff full time in 2017. Paige was a long-time volunteer at Lake Farm Park until 2018. Paige currently resides in Mentor with her significant other, two children (Jameson and Harper), and four cats.

Kay Funk,
Veterinary Assistant
Kay has her certification for veterinary assistance from Lakeland Community College. She has many years of kennel, daycare and dog fostering experience. Kay loves animals and enjoys being able to work with them here at PetFix. She loves to take her two dogs, Diesel a pit/lab mix and Leia a chihuahua for car rides and hikes in the woods.

Lorraine Podojil,
Veterinary Assistant
Lorraine lives in Chesterland with her husband Jim, daughter Samantha, son James, and their awesome adopted German Pinscher, Wheezer. Lorraine strongly believes in the adoption of animals and hopes that one day shelters will no longer be full. She has worked as a driver and veterinary assistant at PetFix since 2007 and truly loves both the work and the mission.

Sara Pitchler, Veterinary Assistant
Sara started her career in animal welfare in 2006 and has been with PetFix since 2016. Sara and her husband started a small farm, and they tend to turkeys, chickens, and honeybees. She has two small children, Ruth and JJ. In her free time, she enjoys taking the dogs for walks, playing video games, and fostering kittens.

Jessica Manko, Veterinary Assistant
Jessica joined the PetFix family in August of 2016 and has a self-proclaimed "healthy obsession" with all things feline. She is an active member of Lauren's City Cats in the Flats (LCCF), Ohio Paws for Purpose (formerly known as Willowick Pet Food Pantry) a founding member of the Waterloo Alley Cat Project (WACP) as well as being a dedicated advocate of countless TNR (trap, neuter, return) programs throughout the area. Every year Jessica coordinates and hosts the Meowy Cats'mas fundraising event which benefits LCCF and WACP. Jessica recently received her 1-Gallon Donor pin from the American Red Cross and is looking forward to getting her 22nd "cattoo" (cat tattoo).

Allen Dunlap,
Veterinary Assistant
Allen joined the PetFix Team as a volunteer in 2018. After receiving his Associate degree in Computers from Lakeland Community College, he was hired at PetFix in 2020 as a Veterinary Assistant. Allen loves animals and has a Chihuahua mix named Mario (seen in picture). In his spare time, Allen loves to jet ski, volunteer at Project Hope (homeless shelter), hang out with friends, attend NHRA drag racing and attend dirt track racing. He also really enjoys working on computers and flying.

Jackie Good,
Transport Driver/ Veterinary Assistant
Jackie is passionate about animals and helping her community. She enjoys living in northeast Ohio with her husband, two boys, two dogs, and a bunny rabbit. Advocating for animal rights and living a cruelty free lifestyle is very important to Jackie. She also loves reading, attending live music, listening to true crime podcasts, playing with her animals, volunteering for Lake MetroParks, and staying active outdoors.

Neil Thompson,
Transport Driver
Neil began working at PetFix in 2020. He safely returns animals to owners (via our transport partners) following their surgeries. Neil has degrees in Biology and Fine Art, and has experience managing veterinary training facilities. He has two indoor cats, Stimpy (Tuxedo) and Juno (Russian Blue), and cares for several outdoor cats.

Kyla Graham,
Kennel Assistant
Kyla is a high school student athlete, playing softball with her school and on a travel team. She is very involved with the community and with her school. She loves working with animals and people and is interested in pursuing a career in the medical field.

Ann Killea,
Patient Services Specialist
Annie has had a lifelong love of animals and helping people and has a background of working in animal shelters. Affordable veterinary care is a passion of hers, so she’s ecstatic to be working at PetFix! She’s currently in school to become a mental health counselor, but in her free time likes to hike with her dog Lottie, see her horse Raffi, or get bossed around by her cat Toed and bearded dragon Guy.

Hannah Kovello,
Patient Services Specialist
Hannah has two dogs, a Blue Heeler named Asher who is 2-years-old and a long haired Belgian Shepherd named Dusty who is 7. She worked as a tech at another clinic for two years but really wanted to branch out and work at a hospital that does surgeries as well.Hannah loves traveling, reading, and playing my switch. Her favorite trip was to Hawaii and she hopes to go to Italy in the future!

Dee Dee Ream-Vukcevic,
Volunteer
As a passionate lover of cats and TNR, DeeDee has assisted at PetFix since before the doors opened at the Euclid clinic in 2013. She graduated from Penn State with a BS degree in accounting, working with small business owners and in public accounting. Realizing the need for affordable and accessible spay/neuter services is crucial in preventing homeless pets, when not in residence In Euclid, DeeDee is in Naples, Florida continuing her passion of supporting spay/neuter as a veterinary assistant and shelter volunteer. Her husband Jimmy and their once homeless/abandoned cats support her in her mission of aid.
